Meet the team at Oak Loop

John Murray (TREC#751860) was raised in northwest Houston, Texas. He attended Langham Creek High School before relocating to Florida where he attended college. John’s first involvement in real estate was in 2002, as a licensed mortgage broker at a small boutique brokerage in Orlando, Florida. He closed over $50 million in sales in his first year by partnering with a developer of Reunion Resorts, and specializing in lot loans and construction-to-perm loans. He followed this up with another record year before relocating to South Florida in 2004. In Miami, John Murray joined Coldwell Banker where he sold multi-million dollar oceanfront condos from 2004 until 2007. When the real estate market collapsed, John made a career change and joined a large corporate staffing firm specializing in physician recruitment. In 2015, John opened his own staffing firm, The Physicians Choice Healthcare Staffing Inc. In 2020, John sold his staffing company and relocated to Houston with his wife and 3 children. John seized this opportunity to re-enter his first love of luxury real estate by joining Greenwood King Properties inside the loop. During this time, John saw an overwhelming need for a reliable and honest residential property manager for single-family homes in the Houston market. John met and collaborated with Shane, and in April 2022 they launched Oak Loop Properties. Utilizing Shane’s years of experience in property management and John’s “boots on the ground” knowledge of the Houston market, Oak Loop Properties has catapulted to an industry leader in property management.
